Seascape 001 Wave 90 is a stylized interpretation of a photograph of a breaking wave. This is one of a series of abstract and stylized ocean and beach scenes I call 'SEASCAPES'.

I started this 'SEASCAPE' series in late 2018. By 2016 I had noticed that folks (due to social media, selfies, smartphones, etc) were not seeing or taking in traditional scenes like they used to in the 'Analog days'. In 2017 I saw an ocean image in a magazine that crossed over from traditional into surreal and I wondered how it was done. In fall of 2018 while working on an ocean scene I discovered the 'key' that unlocked the mystery and started me on my 'SEASCAPE SERIES'. In 2019 I started shooting to include a subject in the scene like a volleyball, sailboat. lifeguard tower, etc. and continue to ad new images to the 'SEASCAPE SERIES'.
