Panorama coastal scene and view South with Manhattan Beach Pier, the strand, the bike path, the ocean (Santa Monica Bay), sandy beach and clear sky.
'View South'.
I had come across this view in the early 1980s'. After 1990 I began exclusively shooting photos with the Fuji617 Panorama format camera (4 shots per 120 roll) and in the early '90s I shot my first panorama of this scene. One sunny afternoon years later I revisited the location to update my older image. Things looked good so first I set up my 8ft ladder and composed the scene, then put in a roll of film and waited for the sun to get lower and things to be right. This panorama image turned out to be one of my all-time Classic South Bay photographs.
